We are a family-friendly, Bible-believing church in Tokai, in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. We meet on Sundays and through the week. Everything we do is aimed at explaining and applying the lordship of Jesus to everyday living, at encouraging fellowship with one another, and at introducing Jesus to those who don't yet know Him.

The whole service takes between seventy-five and ninety minutes.
What to wear. Come as you are. Some people dress smartly, others prefer casual. There is no dress code.
When to arrive. Parking is rarely a problem, but aim to be there five minutes before the start so you can find a seat easily.
What to do. If you are not used to church, watch what everyone else does. We sit for most of the service and stand to sing. The person leading will say what is happening at each point. You will not be expected to do anything you are not comfortable with.
What to bring. A Bible is helpful but not essential — a Bible app on your phone works just as well.
Being met. Write to us before you come and we will arrange for someone friendly to greet you at the door.
If you cannot come. The 10am service is livestreamed on YouTube, and each Sunday's sermon is posted there afterwards.
We want children to come to know Jesus, to live for Him, and to share Him with those around them.
A Baby Room in the auditorium for parents of babies under one, from where you can still see and hear the service. Toddlers aged one and two have their own room with a live stream so parents can watch while their children play.
Working through the Jesus Storybook Bible, with songs, playtime and a colouring sheet. Children are encouraged to bring their own copy.
Singing, prayer, a talk from the Bible, and small groups for discussion and a take-home activity. Where possible we follow the passage the adults are learning, so families can talk about it together. Children are encouraged to bring their own NIV Bible.
Learning different books of the Bible with games that reinforce the teaching, singing, a take-home craft, prayer and small groups.
A separate time of teaching during the 10am service. In the school holidays they stay in the adult service.
Friday evenings together to sing, play games, and read and study the Bible in small groups.
Connect groups exist to provide a relational environment where you can grow in your understanding of God and His Word, and in love for Him and His people. It is where the Bible is applied to everyday life; where you can be known and loved, pray and be prayed for.

Under Frank Retief of St James, Kenilworth, a Sunday school begins at Kirstenhof Primary. A parents' Bible study follows in June; by September the first services are held in the staff room, under Rev. Desmond Inglesby, TCC's first minister.
Having outgrown the staff room and then the school hall, the church buys land in Raapkraal Road and begins developing plans.
Before building begins, the old Breezeland Nursery on Tokai Road becomes available — a more suitable site.
After a two-year building project, the church moves into 28 Tokai Road, where it remains.
