Visiting

Never been to church? Start here.

Services run 75–90 minutes. We sit in auditorium-style seating, sing together with a music team leading, and about halfway through one of our pastors preaches from the Bible for roughly half an hour.

It helps to bring a Bible, but it isn't essential — and nothing will be asked of you that you're not comfortable with.

What actually happens in the service?
A fairly traditional shape. A few people lead from the stage — praying, reading the Bible, introducing songs. We sit for most of it and stand to sing. The person leading will tell you what's happening at each point.
What happens to my kids?
At 10am everyone starts together, then children up to Grade 10 head to their age groups for teaching. There's a Baby Room at the back of the hall where parents can still see and hear the service. Our 8am and 6:30pm services don't have separate children's teaching, but children are very welcome in them.
When should I arrive, and where do I park?
Parking is rarely a problem. Aim to arrive no later than five minutes before the service starts so you can find a seat easily.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. Some people dress smartly, others prefer casual. There's no dress code.
Can someone meet me at the door?
Yes. Get in touch before you come and we'll arrange for someone to look out for you and sit with you if you'd like.

Children & Youth

Every age has somewhere to belong

We want children to come to know Jesus, to live for Him, and to share Him with those around them. That conviction shapes everything we run for families — from the Baby Room through to Grade 12.

Connect Groups

Church is more than Sunday

Connect groups are where the Bible meets your ordinary week — where you can be known and loved, pray and be prayed for. They're at the heart of Christian community here.

Groups vary in shape and size and meet at different times and venues across the southern suburbs. We'd love to help you find one.

What we believe

Five things we're aiming at

We're committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, and to the Bible as the Word of God. What we believe shapes how we behave — and that works out in five objectives.

Magnification

To adore, praise and thank God in all things, and especially when we gather.

Membership

To see all people find connection, community and care within God's family, visible in this local church.

Maturity

To know God deeply, growing in faith, hope and love, and making gospel-driven decisions in all of life.

Ministry

To embrace a lifestyle of sacrificially serving one another, formally and informally.

Mission

To see more people hear and understand the gospel for the first time, locally and through global partnerships.

Where we belong

TCC is a constituent church of REACH SA — Reformed, Evangelical, Anglican. Autonomous, with our own constitution, in partnership with like-minded churches.

Our history

From a school staff room to Tokai Road

1983

A Sunday school starts at Kirstenhof Primary, planted from St James, Kenilworth. A Bible study for the parents follows in June; by September the first services are held in the staff room under Rev. Desmond Inglesby.

1987

The congregation outgrows the staff room, then the school hall. Land is bought in Raapkraal Road and building plans begin.

1989

Before building starts, a better site becomes available — the old Breezeland Nursery, right on Tokai Road.

1991

After two years of building, the church moves into 28 Tokai Road, where it still meets today.
